Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care per physician orders, including assessment, treatment planning, and monitoring.
- Manage ventilator support and airway management; adjust settings and assist with weaning as appropriate.
- Administer prescribed therapies (nebulized meds, aerosols, CPT, chest physiotherapy) and monitor response.
- Perform arterial blood gas collection and analysis; interpret results and adjust therapy accordingly.
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes; communicate changes with the multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, patient safety standards, and accurate charting.
Requirements
- Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of RRT experience
- Shift readiness: Ability to work night shifts in a hospital/acute care setting
- Travel readiness: Willingness to relocate for a 13-week assignment
