Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. Start date May 18, 2026 for 13 weeks. 40 guaranteed hours per week with 4x10-hour day shifts (6:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.). Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures across diverse specialties
- Prepare the OR, maintain sterile technique, and assist the surgical team during procedures
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, manage anesthesia-related needs, and document intraoperative events
- Verify patient identity, procedure, and consent; ensure correct patient positioning and equipment readiness
- Administer medications and fluids per policy; collaborate with anesthesia, circulating nurses, and surgeons
- Support patient recovery planning and, when appropriate, assist with transfer to the post-anesthesia care unit
Requirements
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Level 1 trauma experience
- Strong clinical skills demonstrated on a skills checklist
- Burn care experience is preferred
- Availability for 10-hour day shifts, four days per week (6:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.) with on-call duties
- Willingness to participate in call coverage including weekends and holidays
- 13-week contract duration
- Prior experience in OR settings with multidisciplinary teams
