Responsibilities
- Administer APTA-standard physical therapy treatments for disabilities, injuries, and diseases to relieve pain, restore motor function, and maintain optimal performance.
- Perform patient evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
- Educate patients and families about prescribed therapies, home exercise programs, safety, and progression; document goals and progress in medical records.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes; ensure documentation accuracy and maintain treatment safety standards.
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Eligibility to obtain or hold licensure to practice physical therapy in California.
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills; effective communication with patients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment within an acute care context and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week assignment; available for a Days shift (8-hour days).
