Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER), Saint Louis, Missouri, United States. This travel, temporary assignment starts May 4, 2026 for a period measured in weeks. Shift is nights, 3×12-hour shifts. Weekly pay ranges from $1,944 to $2,013. Guaranteed hours are 36 per week. Setting: acute care hospital Emergency Department. Unit features include 38 ED beds with approximately 127 visits per day and care for a patient population spanning neonates through geriatrics, with a separate psych area. Locals are not accepted (75-mile local radius rule). The ER uses EPIC for charting; floating within scope is required to meet facility needs.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations (neonates through geriatrics) in a busy ED, including triage, rapid assessment, and prioritization of care.
- Manage airway, ventilator care, and dysrhythmia/12-lead EKG interpretation; administer IV vasopressors and medications as ordered.
- Support trauma care, blood product administration, procedural sedation, central line care, phlebotomy, and wound management; assist with chest tubes and splints as needed.
- Perform timely charting in EPIC; monitor patient status, reassess frequently, and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Work, and Interpretation services; coordinate with unit secretary to ensure patient flow and safety.
- Handle psychiatric holds and management of violent patients; provide pediatric emergencies care with a focus on safety and stabilization.

Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing; MO state license or eligibility to practice in Missouri; pending license accepted per compliance notes.
- Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience; travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS (CPR), NIHSS, PALS required; on-site STEMI & Stroke certification facility preferred; CPI and TNCC are beneficial.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure; ability to work in a high-volume ED environment and, if needed, float within scope.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced ED setting, participate in cross-functional teamwork, and meet shift and scheduling requirements (nights; floating as needed).
