Physical Therapy Assistant, LTAC specialty, Sheridan, Wyoming. This is a travel - temporary assignment starting 07/20/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,495 to $1,540 per week with 36 guaranteed hours each week. Shift: Days. Setting: LTAC-focused long-term care (nursing home) environment. Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising physical therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility activities.
- Monitor patient response to therapy, document progress, and report changes to the supervising PT.
- Set up and adjust treatment equipment, ensure safety and infection control, and maintain a clean and organized treatment space.
- Support patient positioning, transfers, and functional activities to promote independence and safety.
- Communicate patient goals and status with the PT and care team; document sessions in accordance with policy.
- Adhere to applicable regulatory, documentation, and billing requirements during therapy sessions.
Requirements
- Ability to perform PTA duties under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
- Willingness to work in a LTAC-focused long-term care setting (Days shift).
- Availability for a 13-week travel assignment starting 07/20/2026.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for teamwork with the PT and care staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, accurate documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Eligible to work in the United States and meet position-specific requirements per state regulations.
