Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic MRI exams using appropriate imaging equipment following established policies and procedures.
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explain the process, monitor safety, and ensure patient comfort throughout the study.
- Ensure high-quality images, adhere to imaging protocols, and participate in quality assurance activities.
- Contribute to workflow efficiency, patient flow, and patient satisfaction; engage in reject/repeat analysis as part of quality improvement.
- Collaborate with radiology team and support staff to coordinate exams across units as needed.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in the designated charting system (Cerner).
Requirements
- Ability to work in a clinical imaging department with patient-facing responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to perform MRI exams in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to participate in onboarding and follow established policies and procedures.
- Proficiency with charting in Cerner or willingness to learn the system.
- Availability to work the assigned 3x12-hour day shift schedule.
- Compliance with safety protocols and patient care standards.
