Responsibilities
- Deliver direct bedside nursing care to PCU patients, including assessment, monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration, and procedures per orders
- Conduct regular neuro checks and NIHSS assessments as indicated; respond to changes in patient condition with timely escalation
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, case management, and ancillary staff; participate in care planning and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Epic EMR; provide patient and family education and support
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to clinical policies; support unit operations during shifts and coordinate with float requirements
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license
- Minimum 2 years of ONC (Oncology) PCU or related high-acuity inpatient unit experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Chemo certification preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Degree accreditation must be on profile or candidate must have 5+ years of RN experience
