Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse, Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont. Start date 08/24/2026 for 16 weeks. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Weekly pay: $2,667–$2,833 per week. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. This assignment takes place in a large Level 1 trauma center with 500+ beds, providing perioperative care in a high-acuity setting. The role requires both circulating and scrub skills across multiple surgical specialties, with OR Charge RN responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate on OR cases across general, GU, GYN, ENT, eyes, plastics, lap, trauma, thoracic, and vascular procedures; CVOR cases not included
- Act as OR Charge RN when assigned, coordinating unit operations and team priorities
- Maintain sterile technique, instrument readiness, and patient safety throughout perioperative care
- Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams; ensure EPIC documentation is current (within the past 2 years)
- Adhere to call expectations: one weekday call per week and one 24-hour call in each four-week schedule block
- Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays; participate in unit readiness and staffing as needed
Requirements
- Prior travel experience required
- Minimum 2 years OR RN experience
- Experience in a large Level 1 trauma center (500+ beds)
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- BLS certification
- Ability to scrub across multiple OR specialties (general, GU, GYN, ENT, eyes, plastics, lap, trauma, thoracic, vascular); CVOR cases excluded
- Charge RN experience preferred
- Must be able to work a 3x12 Night shift schedule and be flexible with schedule; no block scheduling
- Reliable transportation required due to limited public transit in the area
