Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for a group of patients during a designated shift using the nursing process.
- Prescribe and implement nursing care based on patient input and the medical plan of care; collaborate with physicians and the health care team.
- Deliver age-appropriate care for patients across the lifespan (neonatal through geriatric) within the ER/trauma setting.
- Incorporate teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care.
- Delegate appropriate aspects of care to other nursing staff based on current competence and legal scope of practice.
- Maintain thorough documentation, monitor patient status, and respond to emergent situations in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license
- Ability to care for patients of all ages (neonatal to geriatric) in an ER/trauma setting
- Availability to work 12-hour shifts (3x12) and operate in a fast-paced emergency department
- Travel-eligible for a temporary assignment and able to commit to the contract duration
- Start date availability: 08/10/2026
