Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Watertown, NY. Start date: 07/13/2026 for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a night shift schedule (2x3 Nights). Weekly pay ranges from $2,232 to $2,362. This is a hospital-based travel assignment requiring ED skills, MEDITECH experience, and strong clinical leadership.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to ED patients, including triage, ongoing assessment, monitoring, and timely intervention as needed
- Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and conduct phlebotomy per physician orders; respond to_code alerts and life-threatening situations
- Document patient care accurately using the MEDITECH electronic medical record system; maintain legible, compliant charting
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and family members; participate in care planning, care coordination, and patient education
- Maintain patient safety through accurate patient identification, use of safety lifts, and adherence to infection control practices
- May assume charge nurse duties as assigned, demonstrating leadership, prioritization, and delegation in a fast-paced ED environment
Requirements
- Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensure: Current NYS RN license
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Experience: Travel experience required
- Specialty/Skill: MEDITECH experience required; ability to work effectively in an ED setting
- Additional: Must be able to identify life-threatening situations, demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be defibrillation certified within six months of employment; lethal dysrhythmia exam completed during probation; IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification during orientation
