Role Specifics and Benefits: As the L&D RN, you will lead and participate in labor support, fetal monitoring, admission assessments, and the management of active labor, including pain relief options and timely escalation when indicated. You’ll assist with vaginal births, cesarean sections when needed, and immediate newborn care in collaboration with the neonatal team. Critical responsibilities include continuous assessment of maternal and fetal status, administration of medications per protocol, accurate documentation in electronic health records, lactation support, and comprehensive education for families about newborn care, safety, and postnatal recovery. You’ll coordinate care with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, midwives, and support staff to ensure safe, individualized birth plans and positive birth experiences.
