Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients, including ventilator management, weaning, and airway support as prescribed.
- Administer prescribed therapies (nebulized medications, oxygen, aerosols) and monitor patient response.
- Perform and interpret arterial blood gas analyses; document findings and adjust treatment per protocol.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and operate respiratory equipment (invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitors, humidifiers, suctioning devices).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital policies and respiratory care guidelines.
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Minimum 2 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience
- High-volume trauma care experience preferred
- End of Week (EOW) requirement noted in job notes
- Ability to work the night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours
