Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for labor and delivery patients, including postpartum, couplet care, newborn nursery, and OB/GYN post-op patients.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, manage medications, and assist with labor and delivery procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with obstetric, anesthesia, pediatric, and nursing teams to ensure safe, evidence-based care.
- Document assessments, care plans, progress notes, and patient education in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, newborn care, and postpartum discharge planning; uphold infection control and safety standards.
- Backfill duties across L&D and related units as required to support patient flow and unit needs.

Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license; BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience; specialized L&D experience strongly preferred
- Must have completed at least 2 prior travel contracts; not a first-time traveler
- Must be located over 45 miles from the facility; mileage must be listed on submission packet
- On-site drug screen (FDI) and a DS (drug screen) required for compliance
- Ability to work the night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am) on a 3x12 schedule
