Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date: 04/20/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,301 to $2,366 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 2x3 Nights. Setting: hospital emergency department. This assignment requires ED expertise, travel experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED across the lifespan, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Complete initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, triage, treatment, and disposition per physician orders
- Administer medications and therapies, perform procedures as permitted, and respond to emergencies, including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Document care in EPIC EMR, communicate changes to the care team, and coordinate with physicians, charge nurses, and support staff
- Support patient and family education, pain management, and safety initiatives; participate in rapid patient turnover and high-acuity events
- Float to related ED areas as needed; maintain clinical readiness and uphold unit standards
- Participate in shift leadership tasks as needed; adhere to unit policies, infection control, and patient safety practices
Requirements
- Licenses and certifications: Active New York RN license; Nursys verification; current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand)
- Education and experience: Minimum 2+ years of ED experience; travel experience required; PEDs exposure preferred
- EMR: Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Additional requirements: Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics; ability to work in a high-volume ED; RTO requests must be included at submission
- Other: Must be able to work the specified shift (6:30 PM–7:00 AM block scheduling noted in internal details) and function in a 64-bed ED with diverse patient populations
