Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adults on the med-surg unit, including postoperative and diagnosis-based care
- Administer prescribed therapies, monitor vital signs, assess patient status, and respond to changes in condition
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
- Document care in EPIC EMR; manage IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes as required
- Support discharge planning and patient education; coordinate with ancillary services
- Float to other med-surg units as needed while maintaining patient safety and infection control protocols
Requirements
- Active New York RN license; NURSYS verification with an ACTIVE NY license and all active RN licenses
- Current BLS through American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience; travel/staffing experience required
- EMR experience, specifically EPIC
- Ability to work in an inpatient med-surg setting; floating to related units as needed
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- RTO (time off) request must be included at time of submission
