Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult ICU patients under the direction of the charge nurse and attending physician.
- Monitor patient status, including vital signs, hemodynamics, neuro checks, and response to treatments; operate and troubleshoot ICU equipment as trained.
- Administer medications and therapies per orders; assess for adverse effects and communicate changes to the team.
- Perform accurate documentation in the electronic health record; contribute to care plans and daily updates.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, respond to emergencies, participate in rounds, and escalate changes promptly when patient condition shifts.
- Maintain infection control, patient safety, and comfort measures; manage lines, tubes, and life-support devices within scope of practice.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the United States; Georgia license to practice or eligibility for Georgia licensure.
- ICU nursing experience preferred (1 year or similar recent exposure considered).
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
- Current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred or must be obtained prior to start.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced ICU environment.
- Must reside 80+ miles from the assignment location (Brunswick, GA) as noted in Job Notes.
- Eligible for travel assignment and able to meet facility credentialing requirements.
