Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for Med Surg patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; document findings and outcomes.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making within the care team.
- Maintain patient safety, quality of care, and adherence to infection control practices.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team; provide patient and family education as appropriate.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (RN) in good standing.
- Experience in medical-surgical care; travel nurse experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hospital setting and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Willingness to participate in a 12-hour day shift schedule and travel assignments as required.
