Responsibilities
- Administer external beam radiation therapy per physician directive.
- Prepare and position patients, apply immobilization, and verify treatment setup.
- Operate and monitor linear accelerator systems; work with EPIC, ARIA/VARIAN, and machine type 21ix.
- Verify treatment parameters, perform quality assurance checks, and ensure radiation safety standards.
- Collaborate with the radiation oncology team, dosimetry, and nursing to coordinate patient care and documentation.
- Document treatment delivery and maintain accurate notes in the electronic medical record.
Requirements
- Active ARRT (R) certification and California state license to practice Radiation Therapy.
- Minimum two years of recent experience in radiation therapy.
- Current BLS certification.
- Proficiency with EPIC and ARIA/VARIAN systems; familiarity with machine type 21ix preferred.
- Ability to work in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital environment; clear communication and teamwork.
- Willingness to work the listed day shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) and 5x8 schedule; no on-call requirement.
