Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to the delivery of care.
- Assess patient needs, contribute to planning and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members; ensure documentation reflects care provided.
- Ensure patient safety and quality of care through adherence to policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices.
Requirements
- Current RN license to practice in the United States; licensure requirements governed by state guidelines.
- ICU nursing experience or recent practice in an intensive care setting.
- BLS certification; ACLS certification as required by facility policy.
- Ability to work 36 hours per week in 3x12-hour shifts.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient safety, accuracy in documentation, and professional conduct.
