Travel Physical Therapist Job
Physical Therapist – Travel assignment in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Start date 05/07/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed 40 hours per week with a pay range of $1,983 to $2,096 per week. Shift: Monday–Friday. Setting: long-term care / nursing home environment. This temporary travel opportunity is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Perform initial PT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents in a long-term care setting
- Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait and mobility training, and manual therapy as prescribed
- Monitor patient progress, adjust plan of care, and document outcomes
- Collaborate with therapy team and care staff to coordinate care and support discharge planning
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Promote resident safety, infection control, and adherence to treatment plans
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist license in good standing (or eligibility) in the appropriate state
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent professional degree preferred
- Relevant experience in physical therapy, with preference for long-term care / skilled nursing setting
- Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work in a long-term care environment and adapt to a fast-paced setting
