Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team in preparing procedures in the operating room, establishing and maintaining a sterile field.
- Prepare surgical cases by retracting and passing instruments, supplies, and medications to surgeons during procedures.
- Perform a variety of technical skills, including maintenance of supplies and equipment used in the perioperative environment.
- Maintain sterile technique and collaborate with the surgical team to support efficient case flow.
- Support the team with instrument handling, counting, and room turnover as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a surgical environment and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.
- Capability to work 10-hour shifts as part of a 4x10 schedule, including dayshift coverage.
- Willingness to travel and participate in a travel assignment.
- Ability to meet credentialing and safety requirements for assignment participation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in a perioperative setting.
