Travel Registered Nurse Outpatient Job
Registered Nurse - Outpatient requires delivering coordinated nursing care for patients undergoing outpatient procedures in a short-term acute care setting. This travel assignment runs for 13 weeks, starting 08/03/2026, with guaranteed 40 hours per week and a pay rate of $1,882 to $1,953 per week. Shifts are day shift with a 4x10s schedule (Mon–Fri) and rotating day off, with start times typically between 5:30 am and 11:00 am. The assignment focuses on outpatient surgery and endoscopy, often involving preoperative evaluation, perioperative care, and PACU Phase II workflows. Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatient surgical and endoscopy patients, following established standards and the nursing process
- Collect pertinent data, analyze health information, and develop a care plan; implement interventions and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide preoperative assessments, intraoperative support, and postoperative Phase II PACU care; manage patients receiving moderate sedation and ensure safe, efficient turnover
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; delegate appropriately and coordinate duties across the care team
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to support education, discharge planning, and continuity of care in a safe, healing environment
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications required
- Endoscopy experience required
- Minimum two years of recent RN experience in the field, with outpatient/perioperative experience strongly preferred
- BSN preferred
- Ability to work in an outpatient perioperative setting; comfortable with preoperative and PACU Phase II workflows and fast-paced case turnover
