Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job
Registered Nurse (Med Surg Tele) in Lima, Ohio. This travel, temporary assignment begins 07/28/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Work 3x12-hour nights with a 36-hour guaranteed week, no required on-call, and every-other-weekend coverage. The clinical setting is a hospital-level Med Surg Tele unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults on a Med Surg Tele unit, applying age-specific criteria and the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
- Monitor telemetry, interpret common heart rhythms, and recognize early signs of hemodynamic instability; respond promptly to changes in patient status.
- Administer prescribed medications, including cardiac agents (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Dopamine/Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex) and titrate as ordered; document responses and monitor for adverse effects.
- Identify signs/symptoms of stroke and other acute changes; initiate appropriate interventions and escalate to the care team as needed.
- Collaborate with non-RN staff (LPN/PCT, Unit Secretaries) to plan and coordinate care; provide guidance and supervision within role boundaries.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license (Nursys verification acceptable; must show active status; CompactRN if applicable)
- BLS for Healthcare Providers and ACLS certifications current
- 2+ years of RN experience in Med Surg/Telemetry (required)
- Competence in telemetry and knowledge of heart rhythms; able to recognize and respond to acute changes
- Ability to work in a hospital setting on a 12-hour night shift; availability for every-other-weekend schedule
