Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Registered Nurse – ICU (Neuro Medicine) in Rochester, NY. Travel - Temporary Assignment starting 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks. Earn a weekly pay range of $1,894 to $1,985 with 12-hour shifts (D/E/N rotation). This is a 12-bed, Neuro-focused ICU within a hospital setting, where the emphasis is on critically ill neurological patients requiring advanced nursing and medical care.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct bedside nursing care to critically ill neuro patients in the ICU, applying advanced skills in neuro assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, and telemetry interpretation.
- Monitor and respond to changes in neurologic status, intracranial pressure where applicable, and overall physiological stability; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to adjust care plans.
- Manage medications and therapies, including vasoactive infusions, sedatives, analgesics, anticoagulants, and seizure precautions, following physician orders and evidence-based protocols.
- Assist with airway management and ventilator support as needed; participate in sedation management, respiratory therapies, and weaning strategies as appropriate.
- Document patient conditions, interventions, and outcomes clearly and promptly; communicate changes to team members, physicians, patients, and families; ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in on-call, holidays, and unit-based charges per protocol; contribute to care coordination, discharge planning, and family education as patients transition out of the ICU.
Requirements
- Active RN license in New York (NY License ONLY)
- Minimum of two (2) years of ICU acute care experience
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Demonstrated strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills; ability to maintain current knowledge in critical care practices
- Ability to work in a Neuro ICU setting with a rotation schedule including D/E/N shifts, holidays/on-call/callback, and unit charge responsibilities
