Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele travel assignment in Thomasville, North Carolina. Start date: 05/04/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,666–$1,719 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Setting: hospital/unit with remote telemetry monitoring for medical and post-surgical adult patients. 36 hours per week can be offered; travel assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on remote telemetry in a medical-surgical setting
- Telemetry rhythm recognition, rhythm interpretation, and dysrhythmia management; monitor patient status continuously
- IV starts and peripheral line care; administer non-titratable cardiac drips; blood product administration per protocol; follow heparin protocols
- Non-invasive airway management (e.g., nasal cannula); wound care; use of PCA as indicated
- Chart and document in EPIC; communicate effectively using SBAR; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in unit operations, including rapid response and patient safety initiatives; may float to affiliate units with similar skill expectations
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license; license must be in hand at start
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in telemetry/med-surg or related acute care setting
- EPIC charting experience required for first-time travelers
- BCLS/BLS required; ACLS preferred; NIHSS not required
- Vaccinations: Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Orientation: 12-hour unit orientation plus hospital orientation; week one classes required
- Testing: must complete required onboarding testing within 48 hours of signing; Tier 2 crisis-response readiness
- RTO: strict policy; posting notes no on-site RTO after booking; must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Fatigue policy: travelers cannot work more than 5 consecutive days or more than 60 hours in a week
