Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, and respond to changes in condition; implement appropriate interventions and escalating as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and coordinate care, including discharge planning and patient education.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record; ensure adherence to regulatory and facility policies.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, uphold patient advocacy, and support continuity of care across shifts.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California.
- ER nursing experience preferred; ability to function in a fast-paced emergency setting.
- Ability to work Days, 12-hour shifts across a 36-hour weekly schedule.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration with colleagues, patients, and families.
- Commitment to patient safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to standards of care.
