Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for outpatient surgical and endoscopy patients using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Coordinate perioperative care across preoperative, intraoperative, and PACU Phase II workflows; monitor and respond to patient status, manage moderate sedation where applicable, and support safe recovery.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, endoscopy team, and other disciplines to ensure patient safety, comfort, and timely turnover in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and participate in discharge planning, patient education, and family involvement.
- Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to nursing and support staff; promote a healing, compassionate, and safe environment throughout the patient’s perioperative journey.

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in California
- BLS certification; ACLS and PALS (AHA or ARC) required
- Endoscopy experience required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in outpatient surgery or perioperative settings
- BSN nursing degree preferred
- EPIC EMR experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient surgery/perioperative environment; comfortable with preop and PACU Phase II workflows; capable of supporting moderate sedation as applicable
