Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an OT, delivering components of established treatment plans.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and functional tasks to promote independence.
- Monitor and document resident progress, responses to therapy, and any changes in status; report to supervising OT.
- Maintain therapy equipment and the treatment space, ensuring safety and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, including nursing and rehabilitation staff, to support resident goals.
- Complete timely, accurate documentation within the facility’s charting system and adhere to privacy regulations.
Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential.
- Ability to work the listed shift (days) within a 13-week travel assignment.
- Comfortable performing duties under supervision and following established care plans.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
- Fundamental documentation ability and attention to resident safety and privacy.
- Eligibility to participate in a travel assignment and adapt to a new setting for the duration of the contract.
