Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during the designated shift as a registered professional nurse.
- Prescribe nursing care based on the nursing process and the medical plan of care, incorporating input from the patient and significant others.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the health care team; coordinate delivery of care for patients of any age per unit assignment.
- Integrate teaching and discharge planning needs into the overall plan of care.
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on current clinical competence and legal scope of practice.
- This position is represented by CNA.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California (state of practice).
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a hospital setting.
