Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to residents in a long-term care setting, including monitoring and basic assessments
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, and document responses
- Monitor residents for changes in condition; report findings promptly to the supervising nurse
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (nursing assistants, therapists, dietary, social services) to implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and ensure adherence to safety and infection control practices
- Support activities of daily living and comfort measures as needed to promote resident well-being
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license (permitting practice in the United States)
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and follow established care plans
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse care team and residents
- Availability to work the listed shift and maintain reliable attendance
