Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients in a PCU, including monitoring vital signs, telemetry, and lab results.
- Administer medications accurately, manage IV therapy, and respond to changes in patient condition with escalating interventions as needed.
- Monitor and treat patients presenting with sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, and other supported conditions; implement care plans under physician orders.
- Perform frequent neurovascular checks, airway and respiratory assessments, and contribute to rapid response when deterioration occurs.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary team; document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record; support discharge planning and patient education.
- Maintain infection control and safety standards; ensure appropriate escalation and charting in a timely, compliant manner.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a PCU/step-down or equivalent acute care setting
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 16–20 bed unit with a 1:4 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Willingness to fulfill a 48-hour guaranteed work week on a 2x4 day schedule
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; reliable patient advocate
