Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med/Surg (Adult), Night Shift. Location: Saint Johnsbury Center, Vermont. Start date: 04/29/2026. Contract duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,809–$1,912 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.), includes every other weekend. Setting: travel general Med/Surg, including adults with occasional pediatric patients, in a Critical Access Hospital environment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adult Med/Surg patients, with occasional pediatric cases, following the Nursing Process.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status; administer medications and therapies per physician orders; manage IVs and routine procedures.
- Collaborate with the Unit Director and Clinical Nurse Lead, and coordinate with the broader care team to meet patient needs.
- Provide holistic care addressing age-appropriate physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs; support discharge planning and patient education.
- Maintain patient safety, quality of care, infection control, and accurate charting; participate in unit-based quality improvement activities.
- Demonstrate professional communication and teamwork to ensure smooth unit operation during night shifts.
Requirements
- Current Vermont RN license or multi-state RN licensure
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care experience
- Meditech experience preferred
- Ability to start on 04/29/2026 and work the night shift in a general Med/Surg setting
- Flu vaccination required with no exceptions
