Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic imaging and specialized procedures under physician orders and supervision.
- Position patients, select appropriate imaging modalities and equipment, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
- Verify patient information, document procedures, and upload images into the patient record and PACS/Viewpoint systems as required.
- Maintain radiation safety and infection control standards; prepare and sterilize procedure rooms and equipment; assist with room turnover.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure timely imaging and reporting.
- Provide patient education and support before, during, and after procedures; communicate findings appropriately to the care team.
Requirements
- Education: Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
- Certifications: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (OB/GYN); ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography (FE) registry.
- Experience: Preferred two years of related work experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine or a high-risk obstetrics setting.
- Additional: Ability to work in a hospital imaging environment; travel assignment eligibility.
