Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of Med Surg patients using the nursing process and established standards of care
- Collect and analyze data, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient progress
- Administer medications, monitor for adverse effects, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Supervise and direct activities of licensed and support staff; delegate tasks appropriately
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
- CPR/BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum two years of recent Med Surg RN experience
- BSN preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital short-term acute care setting
