Travel Radiology MRI Tech Job
SMH MRI Tech – Radiology (MRI) | Rochester, NY, United States | Start date 04/13/2026 | 13-week travel assignment | $2,141–$2,269 per week | 12-hour shifts | Hospital setting. Weekend days include 7:00am–7:30pm on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday holidays with on-call and callback per unit needs.

Responsibilities
- Operate MRI scanner efficiently to acquire diagnostic images and ensure patient safety
- Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and help alleviate anxiety or discomfort
- Position, immobilize, and assess patients; insert IVs when required for the exam
- Coordinate with referring physicians to ensure timely delivery of imaging results
- Document all procedures accurately and maintain patient confidentiality
- Maintain a clean, safe scanning facility and adhere to infection control and safety protocols
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology
- Certification/Licensure: NY State Radiologic Technologist license required; ARRT certification preferred or must be willing to obtain NY license after starting
- Experience: Two (2) years of MRI or radiology experience; GE MRI scanner experience required
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)
- Other: Able to stand for extended periods; comfortable with patient interaction; Level 1 Trauma Center experience advantageous
