Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse – PCU position available in a hospital setting in Plattsburgh, NY. Start date 05/28/2026 for a 4-week travel assignment. Weekly pay is $2,225 to $2,281 per week, with 3x12-hour day shifts. The assignment includes float coverage to appropriate units as needed and requires processing through your travel credentialing promptly.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on the PCU unit with telemetry monitoring
- Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered, including insulin drips and cardiac drips; start IVs as needed
- Monitor patients with acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, post-PCI care, and related cardiac conditions
- Collaborate with the float/float-team staff and unit team; document in EPIC; follow unit protocols
- Respond to patient changes, escalate to the charge nurse as appropriate, and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge needs; adhere to infection control and hospital policies
Requirements
- Current RN license on file at time of submission (New York license or eligibility as applicable)
- BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience; minimum 1 year in specialty (PCU/Telemetry)
- Epic experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Telemetry experience and ability to float to appropriate units as requested
- Scheduling: 7a–7p shifts posted; weekend requirements usually every other weekend
