Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and screening mammography imaging with proper patient positioning and compression
- Operate mammography and radiography equipment, ensuring high-quality images
- Review images for diagnostic quality and communicate findings to radiologists as appropriate
- Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety and ALARA principles; ensure patient safety
- Position, prep, and assist patients through the imaging workflow; obtain necessary patient information and consent
- Document procedures and maintain accurate radiology records; collaborate with the radiology team and follow department protocols
- No on-call requirements; support a smooth, daytime imaging schedule
Requirements
- ARRT Radiography (R) certification active
- MRT (M) certification active
- ARRT Mammography (M) certification required in OR; preferred in CA and HI
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Fluoroscopy license preferred in California
- Venipuncture certification preferred in California
