Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, travel assignment in Atchison, KS. Start date 04/20/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,112–$2,247 with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: 3x12 Nights (5:45 p.m. – 6:15 a.m.). Setting: Critical Access Hospital with inpatient Med/Surg care.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, professional nursing care to medical-surgical patients within the inpatient setting, following physician orders and nursing standards.
- Monitor patient status, perform ongoing assessments, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team.
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies, including IV infusions and vasoactive drips, adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage care for ventilated patients and collaborate with the respiratory therapy team as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other staff to develop and update care plans and coordinate patient discharges.
- Uphold patient safety, infection prevention, and accurate charting in accordance with policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Active RN license (state verification and eligibility per employer policy)
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification required
- PALS certification preferred
- Must be competent to administer IV drips (including vasoactive drips) and care for ventilator patients
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift and adapt to travel assignment requirements
- Inpatient Med/Surg experience; ICU exposure or experience is a plus
