Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse, Med Surg - Utica, New York. This travel assignment begins 06/29/2026 for approximately 13 weeks with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay ranges from $2,197 to $2,293. Shifts are 12-hour day shifts (6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.), on a 3-day-per-week schedule in a hospital Medical-Surgical unit. Floating to related units may be required as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult Medical-Surgical patients, including post-operative and miscellaneous medical conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and monitor patient responses; manage devices such as NG tubes and feeding tubes
- Perform patient assessments, document in the EMR, and contribute to care planning and discharge planning
- Monitor for changes in patient status, respond to clinical requests, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care; uphold infection control and safety standards
- Float to related units as needed to support patient care delivery and maintain appropriate staffing
Requirements
- Licensure: Active New York State Registered Nurse license; NURSYS license verification with active RN licenses
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS certification
- Experience: 2+ years of Medical-Surgical experience; travel experience preferred
- Education: RN credential required; education level not specified in notes
- EMR: EPIC experience preferred
- Other: Ability to work in a hospital MS setting; drivers license with address matching demographics; RTO must be included at time of submission
- Status: Local candidates considered at local rate (within 75 miles)
