Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job

Responsibilities
- Administer IV therapies in an oncology infusion setting, including chemotherapy regimens, IV antibiotics, IV antifungals, IV steroids, IVIG, iron infusions, and hydration.
- Monitor patient status during and after infusions; recognize and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies; maintain patient safety and infection control standards.
- Maintain and care for central venous access devices where appropriate; assist with PICC line care and related port/access device management per scope of practice.
- Document all care, medications, and procedures in the electronic medical record (EPIC) with accuracy and timeliness; collaborate with the oncology team and pharmacy.
- Educate patients and families on infusion therapies, potential side effects, and self-management as appropriate; reinforce safety and adherence to treatment plans.
Requirements
- New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate must be uploaded upfront with traveler profile.
- Chemo Certification (ONS) and Oncology Certified RN (OCN) required.
- EPIC experience required; 2+ years of current outpatient oncology infusion experience; peripheral IV insertion experience; and port/fistula/catheter experience.
- BLS required; IV certification highly preferred; de-escalation training completed (Welle/CPI/PMCS) as part onboarding.
- BSN preferred; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; RTO requests during the assignment must be noted at upload (no more than 5 days, approvals may not be possible after upload).
