Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult/geriatric ICU patients with high acuity, including respiratory failure and multisystem illness.
- Manage ventilator support, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP; monitor and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips; interpret ABGs.
- Assist with invasive procedures as applicable (central/arterial lines, chest tubes) and support post-op cardiac/other interventional patients.
- Perform rapid responses, participate in code management, and coordinate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other teams.
- Maintain accurate Epic documentation, monitor patient status, and communicate changes to the care team during rounds and handoffs.
- Floats may be required to telemetry or similar units; uphold safety and infection control standards in a high-acuity environment.

Requirements
- Active WA RN license or WA Compact RN in-hand required; locals not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in ICU/critical care; Trauma Level II experience required; Travel RN experience required
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to work in a high-acuity MICU with typical 2:1 patient ratios (3–4:1 during boarding events); weekend and holiday coverage required
- First-time travelers not accepted; pre-start onboarding includes ~16 hours of modules plus 24-hour orientation; references: 2 required; RTO restrictions noted; willing to commit to 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, NYE, New Year’s Day)
