Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ER, including initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and re-evaluation of acutely ill or injured patients
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy, including rapid response to emergent needs
- Perform and assist with emergency procedures within scope of practice; support resuscitation and code teams as needed
- Triage patients, prioritize care, and coordinate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to optimize throughput
- Document care accurately in the patient record; ensure patient safety, infection control, and quality-of-care standards
- Communicate clearly with patients and families; participate in discharge planning and patient education

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience
- Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, PALS, ACLS
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift in a high-acuity emergency department
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and comply with required scheduling, including major/minor holiday coverage
- Note: No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered
