Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for ICU patients following professional standards and organizational policies.
- Administer medications and therapies, monitor patient responses, and adjust care as needed in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Continuously monitor critical patient data (vital signs, labs, hemodynamics, ventilator status) and respond to changes promptly.
- Develop and update individualized care plans, coordinate with physicians and support staff, and ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Promote patient safety, infection control, and comfort; educate patients and families as appropriate.
- Responsible for the quality of nursing services delivered and for mentoring or supervising others as assigned.
Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license with Nursys verification within 30 days
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
- NIHSS certification; willingness to obtain within 48 hours of offer
- SIREN certification; willingness to obtain within 48 hours of offer
- Active ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)
- COVID-19 vaccine documented per state records
- Ability to work a 3x12 night shift schedule and participate in facility-specific scheduling
- Candidates must be local or willing to commute; submission requires resume with gaps explained, two supervisory references (last 6 and last 12 months), ICU skills checklist, and all required certifications and license verification
