Travel Registered Nurse NICU Job
Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) travel assignment in Rochester, New York. Start date May 18, 2026 for 13 weeks. Shift: 12-hour rotating D/E/N shifts. Weekly pay: $2,046–$2,168 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. The NICU for this assignment is a Level IV, nationally recognized center serving sick or premature newborns in the Finger Lakes region, requiring high-level telemetry and critical care skills in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct neonatal nursing care for critically ill and premature newborns, including monitoring, assessment, and interventions
- Collaborate with neonatology and multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, manage lines, monitor respiratory status, and support ventilatory care per protocol
- Document patient status and care in the electronic medical record (Epic experience highly desired)
- Respond promptly to changes in condition, participate in rounds, and communicate with families about care plans
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and BLS protocols; participate in rotating shifts, weekends/holidays/on-call as required
Requirements
- RN license valid in New York (NY license only)
- Minimum two years of NICU or telemetry experience
- NRP 8th edition certification required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Telemetry experience required
- Epic experience highly desired
