Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and consistently producing radiographs of diagnostic quality.
- Operate x-ray equipment (CR and DR systems) and assist Radiologist during fluoroscopic procedures; administer oral contrast as needed.
- Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic exams; assist Radiologist during procedures; maintain patient safety and comfort.
- Report equipment malfunctions to leadership; optimize workflow by using time between procedures for auxiliary tasks (clerical, stocking, transporting).
- Maintain confidentiality and patient rights; demonstrate competency in providing care across age groups; ensure medication security per policy.
- Maintain documentation within Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS; participate in performance improvement activities as warranted; uphold professional communication with physicians and team.

Requirements
- NY State radiologic technologist license (required)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) certification (required)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) (required)
- Minimum 2 years radiology experience (required)
- Neurosurgery/Neuroscience experience (required)
- Interventional radiology experience preferred; VIR experience is a plus
