Travel Radiology Radiology Tech Job
SMH IR Neuro Rad Tech — travel assignment in Rochester, NY starting 04/13/2026 for 13 weeks. Work 4x10-hour day shifts in a hospital-based interventional radiology/neuro radiology setting with a weekly pay range of $2,984–$3,224 per week. This role requires on-call/callback duties per unit needs, including 1–2 weekends per month and weekend/holiday coverage as needed. No guaranteed hours are provided.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors and positioning to produce diagnostic-quality radiographs; ensure image quality for IR/Neuro procedures.
- In interventional radiology, assist the Radiologist during procedures, prepare and maintain sterile fields, and operate fluoroscopy as directed.
- Administer oral contrast as needed for exams; educate and prepare patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic studies.
- Operate and troubleshoot x-ray equipment and DR/CR systems; report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the HIS/RIS/PACS and participate in department performance improvement activities; uphold patient privacy and documentation confidentiality.
- Collaborate with team members, demonstrate professionalism, and provide patient-centered care across age groups with attention to safety and rights.
Requirements
- Active NY State Radiologic Technologist license (Technician License) required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- AART certification required
- Minimum two years of interventional radiology or neurosurgery/neuroscience experience
- Neurosurgery/Neuroscience experience strongly preferred
- Interventional radiology experience (VIR) is a plus
