Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to obstetric patients across labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
- Monitor maternal and fetal status; respond to changes in clinical condition and implement appropriate interventions
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments within scope of practice; manage IVs and multimodal analgesia as required
- Assist during labor and delivery, including cesarean sections, and support immediate postpartum care
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care, document activities, and educate patients and families
- Uphold patient safety, privacy, comfort, and quality standards while aligning with established policies and procedures
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia or eligibility for licensure
- Ability to work night shifts (12-hour increments) and fulfill travel assignment requirements
- Willingness to complete credentialing and onboarding processes for travel assignments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to patient-centered care
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced obstetric care environment and maintain accurate documentation
