Responsibilities
- Provide patient care and positioning: explain procedures, position patients to capture specific body parts, and use lead shielding to protect against radiation.
- Imaging operation: operate X-ray equipment and adjust technical factors like voltage and current to obtain clear images.
- Diagnostic quality check: review images for clarity, ensure they meet diagnostic needs, and retake images when necessary.
- Equipment safety and upkeep: follow ALARA principles, sanitize equipment, and perform routine maintenance as needed.
- Record management: update patient records, manage images, and document procedures.
Requirements
- ARRT certification required with documentation
- Minimum 2 years X-ray imaging experience
- Documentation of ARRT certification on file
- Ability to work in a fast-paced surgery center environment
- Travel-ready and able to commit to a 13-week assignment with a 4x10 schedule
