Responsibilities
- Deliver bedside and procedural nursing care for adults and geriatric patients undergoing endoscopic and related procedures (e.g., EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EBUS).
- Monitor conscious sedation, airway, vital signs, and patient responses; respond to airway or sedation-related issues as needed.
- Assist with or perform procedures such as bronchoscopy, manometry, fibroscan, and other specialized endoscopic or GI-related interventions; support with equipment (ERBE, Olympus scopes/processors, Super-D, Bravo, VCE) and specimen handling.
- Prepare and manage procedural rooms, assist anesthesia as needed, and ensure sterile technique and equipment readiness.
- Chart accurately in EPIC, document peri-procedural events, medications, and post-procedure recovery notes; coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services).
- Provide post-procedure patient education, discharge planning, and ensure safe transfer to appropriate care areas; maintain patient safety and infection control standards.

Requirements
- Active NY RN license in hand at time of submittal; candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- EPIC charting experience required
- Mandatory phlebotomy and IV insertion competency
- Ability to work in an inpatient procedural/endoscopy setting; proficient in monitoring sedation and airway management
- Education: RN degree (licensure to practice in NY)
