Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations, with emphasis on adult echocardiography in an adult echo lab
- Prepare patients, position for optimal image acquisition, and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Obtain high-quality images and apply appropriate imaging techniques for adult and pediatric patients
- Document findings and prepare preliminary reports in EPIC per department protocol
- Communicate pertinent results to the clinical team in a timely manner
- Maintain equipment, comply with infection control practices, and ensure data integrity in the EMR
- Coordinate with physicians and other care team members; participate in on-call coverage as required
Requirements
- Certification: ARDCS (ARDMS or CCI) required
- BLS certification required
- EKG recognition required
- Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Ability to work in inpatient, outpatient, and ICU settings; 8-hour day shifts
- Adult echo lab experience with pediatric training preferred
- Reliable transportation; public transit is not available in the area
- No block scheduling; some on-call may be required
